| Mock Trading on Saturday, August 28, 2010
In terms of provisions of the Rules, Bye-Laws and Regulations of the Exchange, members of the Exchange are notified as under: Exchange is conducting a Mock Trading on Saturday, August 28, 2010 as per the specification contained in the SEBI Circular CIR/DNPD/5/2010 dated July 30, 2010, on Options on USD-INR Spot Rate, to enable members to familiarize themselves with trading in Currency Options. Members may note that the official trading will be commenced subject to regulatory approval. Procedure for downloading files for participating in mock trading has been specified in Annexure-1 and relevant information about Currency Options contracts is specified in Annexure -2. Members are requested to verify the downloaded reports generated from mock trading with their modified back office software as per the revised file format detailed in circular no.MCX-SX/IT/387/2010 dated July 13, 2010. Live Re-login Activity:
Members may note that the trades resulting from such mock trading
will not attract any margin obligation, pay-in and pay-out and do
not create any rights and liability on members. Members are requested
to participate actively in the Mock Trading Session. The successful
completion of the mock trading session shall be intimated to members
through a message broadcast during re-login time as per the above

Annexure-1
Steps for downloading files for participating
in Mock Trading. a) Members are advised to log-in to the
Member-Administrator and Trader Workstation with the same user id and
password as being used in the Live environment b)
For Internet, Lease Line & VSAT
users · Download all the files kept in the common \Setup\Mock Setup folder in the FTP (Extranet) Serverusing address ftp://192.168.13.84 for downloading through VSAT/Lease Line and ftp://ftp.mcx-sx.com for downloading through Internet to the members System. Files can be downloaded any time through Internet or can be downloaded through VSAT / Leased Line from August
27, 2010 after trading hours. ·
Double click MCX-SXTWSCLIENT10.msi.
It will install the MCX-SX TWS § After installation open MCX-SX Trader Workstation
Test and follow below mentioned steps: ·
Go to Toolsŕ System configuration ·
Select Mode of
Connectivity as “Internet” if connecting through internet and “Dedicated”
if connecting through VSAT or Lease Line. ·
If Mode of
Connectivity is selected as “Dedicated” select Market Data Updates as Normal
·
After selection
click on Modify. ·
System will set
the Mode of Connectivity and Market Data Updates settings automatically and
application will get closed. ·
Start MCX-SX
Trader Workstation Test and login to the mock environment of MCX-SX. · Double click MCX-SXMEMADMIN10.msi. It will install new MCX-SX Member
Administrator for mock Version 10.1.5 § After installation open MCX-SX Member Administrator
Test and follow below mentioned steps: ·
Go to Toolsŕ System configuration ·
Select Mode of
Connectivity as “Dedicated”. ·
Select Market
Data Updates as “Normal”. ·
After selection
click on Modify. ·
System will set
the Mode of Connectivity and Market Data Updates settings automatically and
application will get closed. ·
Start MCX-SX Member Administrator Test and login to the mock environment of MCX-SX
c) CTCL users
Necessary updates will be provided by empanelled vendors. |

Annexure-2
Three in-the-money, three out-of the-money and one near-the-money strikes would be provided for all available contracts for mock trading having SEP 2010, OCT 2010, NOV 2010, DEC 2010, MAR 2011 and JUN 2011 expiry. |
