Job Responsibilities
    Job Description:
    1) Market Monitoring and Generation of Alerts
    a) Online Real time Surveillance:
    Real time monitoring of variations / movements of market ( Price & volume) of the underlying on an ongoing basis through surveillance system to identify any significant changes in price/trade volume of the contracts / Scripts
    Monitoring Open Interest of different Categories at various levels, Cautioning HFT traders for their OTR, RRM, etc.
    b) Offline Surveillance:
    Generate offline alerts on different parameters on daily basis, i.e, cases of abnormal pattern, suspect manipulation including Self trades, reversal trades, Circular trading, insider trading etc.
    Review the alerts generated on a daily basis and follow up on the actions taken thereafter
    Analysis of daily Closing Price w.r.t set parameters, calculating Cost of Carry.
    2) Operational Process & Regulatory Compliance
    Periodic reviewing and setting the internal benchmark values for Alert generations.
    Daily reconciliation of FOVEA alert Parameters
    Oversee and verify all processes with respect to surveillance actions i.e Daily Closing prices, Price band changes, Trade to trade segment transfers, rumour verification. Etc.
    Drafting circulars related to surveillance actions
    Ensuring to send EOD MIS reports on timely & accurate basis to the appropriate audience
    Verify the critical data/reports before sending it to regulators and senior management
    Coordinate with other Exchanges & SEBI to resolve issues / queries regarding date provided for Integrated Market Surveillance System
    Ensuring glitch free trading from DR site
    3) System Development & Policy changes
    Identify areas of improvement and development of surveillance system (in coordination with Development team) and recommend necessary modifications.
    Review and propose policy changes in line with regulatory changes proposed by SEBI
    UAT testing and getting the required changes done as per prescribed BRS/SRN.
    Automation of reports in BO system for efficient Offline Surveillance alert generation.
    4) Addressing Member queries:
    Timely solution of member queries w.r.t to OI Limits, Margin , MTM , Activation / Deactivation, Member concentrations, etc.
